It’s not a Day Job Anymore!

It was yet another ‘release’ day at work, when the entire team works till the software is shipped. We started early in the day with a meeting where we shared herculean responsibilities and the team almost did a week’s worth of work in a day.

It was quarter past twelve in the night, when the project manager convened us for another meeting, appreciating our hard work and also indicating the gaps to be filled the next day by one of my colleagues. After the meeting, my colleague showed me the watch and gave a sarcastic remark “Tomorrow has come today itself”, which left huge impressions on me. These days ‘day job’ is  a misnomer for they extend to the night and even extend to the next day .
