This morning, while starting to office, I ended up with an intriguing vision. Its the old lady, who I see every day walk by my home and accepts alms that are voluntarily offered, was trying to cut a rope which was tied between two trees on the other side of the road.
Her tall thin frame, strong gait, wrinkled face, white bobbed hair, fast paced walk will never let you think of her as a beggar. She even accepts the few coins you give, with a nonchalant look. I don’t know why, but I like her and respect her.
She was taking time to cut the rope, and I stopped and started watching her. She could not cut one end of the rope even after several minutes of trying. I called her and offered her a knife. She grumbled something, took the knife and cut the rope. On her returning the knife, I offered her few coins which she accepted with her usual look, and started walking the road, without a second look on the cut rope!
I was perplexed, and even now I absolutely have no idea what went through her mind, which was mesmerizing on how a story could unveil itself if you care to stop a few minutes from your daily bustle.

Prakash,
Welcome to Telltale. Looking forward to a lot of stories from you. This story reminds me of something that happened with me many years ago.
We had gone on a nature walk to Guindy National Park and spent the entire day walking around but without luck. Towards the end of the day, we saw a Deer and it came running towards us. The Deer stopped in front of the chap who took us there and literally sat in front of him. Then it got up and ran away. To this day, none of us know why that deer did that.
